He wasn't ugly, but I don't think it's controversial to say he had an interesting unusual look. He was a character actor.
Watched the “Reggie Dinkins” premiere. Apparently it gets better at episodes 3 and 4. But man, rough start, considering the talent involved.
The arthouse theater in Orlando is doing Mann-uary, a Michael Mann film every Saturday. I had surgery Friday so I missed Thief this weekend but few things in life are more exciting than seeing Miami Vice in theaters on the 31st.
I take some credit for the critical reappraisal of Miami Vice and Starship Troopers because I was an early advocate of both. I can't say the same for MacGruber because I didn't see it until after the appreciation began. I am still waiting for people to come around on A Very Murray Christmas.
I have loved Starship Troopers since I was 11 years old. I didn't get the deeper stuff beyond "sick action with ahead of it's time CGI" until I was an adult though.
When my uncle retired from the army he was like "im gonna watch more movies" but the only movie he owned was Starship Troopers so he just watched it on repeat for like two days. My aunt made him get a job lol
There are worse ways to spend your retirement. I do not rewatch a lot of movies but Starship Troopers is one I will probably watch at least once a year.
