I literally just finished the season 4 finale of Stranger Things and it's pretty much all good except for volume 2 of season 5 Season 2 is kind of a snooze at times, though
Subtitles should also have translation for currency. If I'm watching a Japanese movie and they're talking about yen, the English subtitles shouldn't say 6 million yen, they should translate it to $40k or whatever it is
I kind of like it because if it is something that I can generally guess the cost of I learn the relative value of their currency. What throws me more often are period pieces where they are talking about money and I have to figure out if it is a lot or not. Mad Men had me looking up an inflation calculator several times.
Basically my feeling. Not quite a hate watch but I’m happy there is only one episode left. my theory is you could watch the opening and closing of every episode and know what’s happening. The middle of all episodes is just filler bs that ends up not mattering.
I remember watching Seinfeld as it aired in the Nineties and being shocked by the high New York prices, but now they seem pretty quaint. The 5 dollar milkshake in Pulp Fiction wouldn't turn a single head today.
When he needed $1500 in Marty Supreme i was like that's a lot of money, $750 was a whole summer of work
That's what I did but I had to pause the movie and go grab my phone so the thought just occurred to me in the moment.
I’m starting off the year thinking it’s very likely I’ll go see the Chris Pratt AI judge movie the day it comes out.
