The second Hunger Games is laughably bad. For a film series based on pre-existing books it feels like they were making it up as they go along.
really? I feel like that’s usually people’s favorite lol I prefer the first one though, I like the world building that it does
Alex Fields always has great lists. He also includes a Google Drive link in the description. Heres an Avant Garde Christmas list: https://boxd.it/Bn8PQ Lights is essential, I watch it every year. Edit: Here is my year in review https://boxd.it/c76bDp
I am following up my emotional viewing of Lights with an emotional viewing of Corey Duffel skating to Downtown Lights, another essential winter viewing. Can someone add this to Letterboxd?
One of the students made me put on a movie called Wonder. Stephen Chbosky probably deserves to be in the conversation for one of the worst current directors.
My wife and I did a double feature last night to celebrate her birthday. We saw Lynch’s The Straight Story (in 35mm!) and Reiner’s Misery. Such an incredible time at the movies.
My trip to see Avatar 3 today had many trailers, but three of them really stood out. One was about a serial killer chimpanzee, one was a commercial for Baby Yoda merchandise masquerading as a new movie, and then they brought back Captain America. Truly just dangling keys in front of us.
The monkey even did the horror movie trope where the victim goes to start the car, realizes they don't have the keys, and then it is revealed the killer is outside with them.
