I will say few American directors had a run like Reiner had 1984 to 1992. Guy made 6 all time classics in 8 years. Incredible feat. 1984: This Is Spinal Tap 1986: Stand By Me 1987: The Princess Bride 1989: When Harry Met Sally 1990: Misery 1992: A Few Good Men
Was never super into The Princess Bride. I think I saw When Harry Met Sally once a 20 something years ago. I liked Spinal Tap but I prefer Christopher Guest's 90's mockumentaries more. I enjoy A Few Good Men but Sorkin writing can get grating. Fucking love Stand By Me and Misery though.
