Not counting repertory screenings, I have been to the movies 5 times since 2019

Sorry I miscounted. From 2020-2025, I have seen the following new release movies in theaters:
    Licorice Pizza
    Jackass 4
    The Whale
    Zone of Interest
    Wonka (School trip)
    Wicked (School Trip)
    One Battle After Another

According to letterboxd I've logged 1,130 movies in that timespan. I can't think of many movies from 2020-2025 that I didn't see in theaters/weren't released direct to some streaming service that I really missed out on. Top Gun would've been cool in a theater, I guess. I like going to the movies, I try to support my local theater for the old school cult and horror screenings, but I really am not all that interested in new movies unless it is an established director. If we are going to enlist someone to watch the kids, it is usually for a better reason than going to the movies.

haven’t seen wonka but at least wicked on a big screen would be somewhat fun

I’d prefer to watch every movie on a giant movie theater screen.

Wonka came up on this week's box office game on Blank Check and I had completely forgotten about that movie

I love going to the movies. I also have a family lol. We are lucky to have people at the ready to watch our kids whenever we want but like...I'm going to get a baby sitter to see Roofman or some shit? I'd rather watch a better movie from years ago that I haven't seen at home.
