yeah the first 2/3 or so were pre covid but they had to shoot the final episodes in october and one person is wearing a mask and it's very distracting haha

yeah but it's like one scene with one person out of twenty wearing a mask, and they felt like they still had to address it. they should have just ignored it bc it was more distracting for them to mention it when in every subsequent scene it's a complete non issue

aside from the covid stuff, there are so many plot holes and just plain stupid things going on, plus walter white is such a bad liar in this (which I guess is supposed to be his character, but it's still weird)

I’m a couple episodes into Search Party right now. I’m intrigued but all of these characters seem wholly unlikeable

i loved it. i agree they all suck in the beginning though. they build a few of them up to be super likable though, and make a few even more despicable lol.

The biggest missed opportunity of the Amazing Spider-Man films is that we never saw Andrew Garfield turn down seeing a Vilgot Sjöman film with Emma Stone ‘cause he secretly had six arms.

I can relate but my rule is no movies before 2007.

Most of my film school classmates seemed to have a similar rule but their version also excluded movies so they were just watching TV shows. Never forget the dude who argued with my professor about wanting to write his term paper on Homeland.

People in film school did not want to watch movies?

My first two years not really. Breaking Bad was the most popular media that everyone was into. Lots of complaining about having to watch Fistful of Dollars or 8 1/2 for class. Once you got into the more advanced classes it was a little better.

I don't understand why they were in film school.

I only did one film appreciation class in college, but it was online so I never got to see the other students' reactions.

An online film appreciation class just sounds like you paid to do what you do for free on here

I double majored in History and Political Science in college, but I had to fill a summer class. It seemed better than the other options.

I did a philosophy in film course and the teacher showed 2001 and then apologized and we wound up watching The Matrix instead of The Seventh Seal

I’m teaching my film class as I type this. We’re watching Psycho, just got to the shower scene. Most of my kids hadn’t ever even seen it referenced in other media, let alone knew it was going to happen in the film.

    I do:
    Psycho
    Night of the Living Dead
    Jaws
    Halloween
    Scream

I go through the early classics and show clips from a bunch. Cabinet, Nosferatu, Freaks etc. I showed Texas Chainsaw Massacre a few years back and almost got written up for it. Smh, nerds. In theory they should be juniors and seniors, but due to scheduling I had a class full of sophomores last year

I think my biggest regret from college is majoring in business. It seemed like a "smart" life choice at the time, but I was far more interested in other subjects. Plus, most people I've ended up working with majored in something completely unrelated, so a business degree was not only uninteresting but pretty meaningless too.

Yeah I majored in business management but didn’t graduate. I ended up managing a business for 8 years anyways. Useless degree.
