I like the tv stuff he’s done and kings of summer and successful alcoholics but his experience working with a major studio doesn’t really give me any faith in this thing.

 

I thought Skull Island was fun

Skull Island wasn't nearly as bad as I was lead to believe. And yeah, Kings of Summer is amazing and one of my favorite coming of age movies.

Every single Werner Herzog film.

Make it a mini-series about the filming of a single movie and just combine every crazy thing that ever happened on his set. Michael Shannon as Herzog. The final scene is actual Herzog murdering me.

Black Bear is technically not a debut but fuck if I’ve seen anything more exciting all year. Truly something new in a world where almost nothing is new.

One of my favorites of all time. Gabriel Byrne was incredible throughout, and each season has some really memorable storylines and performances. I hope more people get into it now that HBO is doing a revival.
