It was really bad. The scene where they run with the flag is really brutal. That director has made nothing of consequence since.

One thing that has bothered me lately is the way shows do "previously on" recaps at the beginning of an episode. It has a purpose, especially back when people watched new episodes weekly, but it has the effect of telegraphing the episode. If they refer to something from a few episodes back, you already have a general idea of what to expect.

That telegraphing has always bugged me.

i find it helpful for between seasons, but yes, i don’t need it during episodes, especially in the streaming era

It's funny because the "next time on..." teasers are often extremely misleading and very light on actual details, and then they just tell you what to expect before the episode actually starts.

The Mad Men “next week on..” were legendary

Children's Hospital did "previously on" better than any other comedy has

Yeah the concept of how they intro'd it on Shameless was fun, but after like 10 seasons it definitely got tired

I’m just tired of shameless in general at this point. It was one of my favorites for a while but it’s so bad at this point.

The first half season without Emmy was passable, but the most recent full season without her was truly bad. I just hope they can make the final season worthwhile, at least go out on a high note

Mulan/Black Widow is all I saw.

EDIT: I deleted the initial post because thought it was false at first because I realized the source I saw was actually a parody Disney+ Twitter account, but I guess it was actual info shared on the earnings call. For context, they're making Mulan & Black Widow available for $30.
