Wow, Tango and Cash does not hold up at all. Especially weird considering I loved Cobra. Maybe it's because at least that isn't pretending to be something it's not?

The poster for Cobra is amazing.

 

There's something about joking about police brutality that I can no longer handle in a movie (Tango and Cash) whereas something like Cobra, that is earnest in it's shitty beliefs, that is fun to watch and laugh at.

 

The Princess Bride was our go-to in the van for roadtrips.

 

Oh how could I forget D2: The Mighty Ducks

 

Lost in Translation is another one I could probably recreate from memory. The Royal Tenenbaums as well.

There wasn't one singular film that I watched a ton as a kid. The Terminator and the Indiana Jones trilogy were on repeat a lot, as was the original Star Wars trilogy.

 

I’ve seen the Sean Connery Bond films a ton as well because of my dad.

 

In recent years, The Greasy Strangler has probably been my most rewatched movie. I don't typically rewatch movies over and over again, but I've shown that one to a lot of people.

My sister watched Adventures in Babysitting, Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead and Drop Dead Fred on constant repeat as a child, so I saw those a lot too.

The first 4 Kevin Smith films were in constant rotation in junior high/high school and even into college.

 

Mean girls for me

As a kid I used to watch twister and men in black like 50 times per year each

 

Men in Black is definitely up there for me.

And I remembered that my answer is most likely Zodiac. I love that movie and for whatever reason, I used to fall asleep to it ALL the time, sometimes with one of its’ commentary tracks on.

Someone mentioned The Mighty Ducks. I have a Masters Degree in History and have taught for seven years but whenever someone mentions Iceland or Greenland I think of the scene where Emilio Estevez learns that Greenland is icy and Iceland is greener.

 

Greenland is covered with ice, and Iceland is very nice.

That also makes me want an ice cream cone.
