Love both. Black Swan does a little more for me though. Rewatched Mother recently and liked it even more the second time. Makes me want to try and finish Noah again lol.

mother! was good in the moment, but I don't think I'd watch it again, and not for the same reason that I'd never want to watch Requiem for a Dream again. ...Huh, those and Black Swan are the only ones I've seen of his, although I'm pretty sure I bought The Fountain on DVD on a whim a long ass time ago for like five bucks.

 

I like Noah a lot. Black Swan is very good and The Wrestlers is just okay, imo. mother! is interesting but it didn’t stick with me.

I love The Fountain and think it’s his best.

 

The Wrestler was good. The rest of his films are really bad, and mother! might be the worst of the decade.

I completely forgot Noah existed until this thread. Mother! was so awful I couldn’t even finish it. Loved Black Swan when I saw it in theaters, but I haven’t revisited it since. It gave me Benjamin Millepied on the big screen which was worth the ticket for that alone.

 

I remember liking the fountain but that was 10 or so years ago.

1) black swan 2) mother 3) wrestler 4) requieum 5) fountain. I want to give Fountain and Pi another chance. I saw both when i was younger and dont really have a strong feeling about them.

 

The Fountain benefits from a second viewing more than any other of his films

A Cinemasins "Everything Wrong With The Addams Family" video popped up on Youtube. What the fuck is this? Who is this guy? Do people enjoy this sort of thing?

 

They're unquestionably the worst

 

I have been banging the “CinemaSins is garbage” drum for years, wishing it was his head

 

I don't understand how people have the time to watch those Youtube videos enough for them to be a thing and hugely popular

What was the last good thing he made? Sometimes it blows my mind how many misses he’s had without any real loss of fans. I’m sure there will be an audience for one of his most beloved properties.

 

The original Men in Black is perfect but I don’t think I’ve really enjoyed anything he’s done since then.
