Doesn’t look as bad as something like Skyscraper imo. Robin Hood at least looks fairly aware that it’s silly and over the top.

 

I saw the trailer for Robin Hood last week and didn’t know it WAS Robin Hood until the title popped up. Also yeah, looks real real bad.

 

It’s just so ridiculous how many Robin Hood movies have been made over the last 10 years.

 

And yet the best one came out 25 years ago:

haha but why! I dont get this at all. Who are these Robin Hood specific fanboys? I make fun of marvel movies all the time, but at least they have endless amounts of material to work with...but this is flippin' Robin Hood! Who are these people that are dying for a "slightly different take" on this character?

Which goes back to my original post. Is it fair for me to have a lesser opinion on someone who goes and pays to see the new robin hood?

It's a well known license that lends itself to making action movies that is also in the public domain? That's all it is I think, especially now that fantasy and historical fiction is popular again.
