The director said he didn't see what the problem was. Lock them in until they clean the theater.

I have often thought about how you would gradually introduce someone to art cinema. On the one end there is Quentin Tarantino and Wes Anderson and on the far end you are getting into Tarr and Tarkovsky, but the levels in between are interesting to think about.

You can just give them your 100 list from last year. Wont take the whole list but if they watch it they will have taste by the end

When I first started diving in I had no idea what I was doing. I hated Mulholland Dr. and I thought Tarkovsky was so boring. I wish I had a better roadmap back then.

It's hard to make a road map for everyone, you need that one crazy film to hook which will be different for everyone. Chasing that dragon will get to you through the rest and instill taste passively has you watch great films

I remember how fun it was seeing 4 of them cameo in Psych in one way or another over the years, I'm sure they were bummed they couldn't convince Emilio to do it and complete the...quinfecta? lol

I'm sure they woulda had Paul Gleason on too had he still been alive

  25. I don't even remember how I stumbled upon this, but I found it fascinating and grim. This is a rant from Llyn Hunter, an Emmy nominated storyboard artist and illustrator mostly known for her work on Animaniacs, Kim Possible and Earthworm Jim. While drawing the piece seen on the thumbnail, she explains how she feels like she aged out of animation, the state of the field, the consequences of AI in it, and having to take a corporate job at Target at 63 to survive among other topics.

Sure, stories like these are nothing new in the artistic landscape as a whole but I genuinely had no idea how bad it had gotten for animators in the US.
