Hook does not hold up, IMO. Not sure if I’ll rank all his movies, as there are quite a few I haven’t seen.

 

I loved Hook as a kid and would play the Hook SNES game constantly. I haven't seen it as an adult and will keep it that way to preserve my good memories.

 

I only saw Schindler's List for the first time like 6 months ago

I am a huge fan of Lincoln though and have seen it multiple times

 

I actually laughed a few times during this trailer so yeah I am in!!

I have felt no draw towards any of the Disney live action remakes. My heart has other priorities.

It's the first disney live-action i'm even considering going seeing. that says something lol

mostly that i love the original movie.

 

Stitch the character looks good. The movie will be bad. I will rewatch the original classic instead

 

First reactions from the new PTA film with Leo after it's test screening in Vegas

 

“Pete’s Dragon” is a solid remake. “Jungle Book” was okay too. The rest are ass.

 

I didn't mind the Beauty and the Best one.

Just re-watched West Side Story this weekend and it's so good. Faist kills it.

Also watched Always recently to get ahead of Blank Check and I actually liked it quite a bit. It's super cheesy and saccharine, but has a great cast and the typical Spielberg magic. A lot of the fire footage is from the 1988 Yellowstone fire which I forgot until watching it loomed large for me as a kid. My aunt and uncle were volunteer rangers in Yellowstone and when we would go visit them, one of the few VHS tapes they had in their trailer was the documentary about the fire that used the same footage, so of course we'd make them put it on all the time just because we wanted to watch any video.

Still need to see a few Spielbergs, Schindler's, Empire of the Sun, and AI most notably.

 

i usually try to avoid the live-action remakes. only ones that were half-decent for me were (controversially) Mulan and Cruella

 

I thought the live action Cinderella remake was really good as well as Pete's Dragon and The Jungle Book

 

I’ve only seen Jungle Book, Aladdin, and Lion King of the live remakes, I believe. Haven’t had much interest in seeing others. LILO and Stitch came out a little too late for me to have seen it as a kid. I was onto more adult stuff by then. Trailer looks decent enough, but there’s no nostalgia for me there. If it gets good reviews perhaps I’ll catch it on Disney+ one day.

 

Cruella was really fun actually

 

Oh fuck I forgot about Aladdin, way better than it had any right to be! Lilo and Stitch live action film was supposed to be a Disney+ original film but multiple test screenings were over the 90% mark constantly then Disney decided to give this a theatrical release instead
