I feel like most fans agree this is one of the better ones. It's my favorite, definitely. The VHS tape ended up getting faded I played it so much.

I also really loved Scooby Doo and the Cyber Chase and Scooby Goes Hollywood

 

Haha I didn't even know VHS film could get faded!

Haha I mean like the label on top of it, got all worn down and started ripping and eventually looked a bit disintegrated. My dad always said it was because I was yanking on it too hard out of excitement to rewatch it.

 

That’s a show that I always caught at like 6am or so. Loved it back then. Don’t know if it holds up.

 

Past Lives was really good. Greta was absolutely amazing and her performance stood out the most. Overall the ending definitely bummed me out. I think it’s easy for us all to wonder what if, but when you throw migrating to a whole new country to leave your old world behind I can’t even imagine. The part where the former sweetheart in question admits to her in Korean that liking her husband is painful kinda hit home. Cuz I don’t consider myself a macho insecure guy so I totally would’ve done what the husband did and be supportive/friendly.

 

Ahh gotcha! That was probably the case for me and the original Rugrats movie. I thought it was so cool the tape was orange.

 

I also had that, very cool.

Looking up the VHS now and it appears it's just text on the tape, so maybe it was just that peeling off or I am misremembering with another tape. Oh well...

The reason I am reminiscing on Scooby so hard is because yesterday we had a winter festival downtown, with local markets and all the cafes doing special warm drinks. One of our playhouses (built in an old church, it's a beautiful venue) was showing Scooby Doo cartoons in the afternoon and I caught a couple haha. It's so charming watching cartoons from back in the day, they're so janky but full of warmth and personality.

 

Fully agree. I miss hand drawn animation. I'm enjoying the new Spider-Man cartoon on D+ but the animation is so jarring. Not a fan of computer animation. That's what I loved about Regular Show. A newer cartoon that was still full of hand drawings

 

Regular Show was sooo good, watched that through a couple years ago. Probably in my top 3 modern cartoons.

 

Hell yeah. I've lost count of how many times I've watched through it

 

One of Them Days was so funny. A great homage to Friday while being able to stand on its own. Keke is always great, and SZA holds her own in her first acting role. They were able to achieve exactly what they set out to do and it once again has me asking why we can't get a movie like this is theaters every month?

 

I was already excited to see it, but now I can't wait
