Not sure I'm fully understanding how High Dynamic Range (HDR) makes things less contrasty? Isn't the whole point about HDR that there are way more colors available?

this is eerily similar to Aaron Marsh's instructions on how to sync up the two versions of Ixora: get two CD players and face one in front of you and one behind you to create a fake quadrophonic version

 

That’s just annoying.

 

i think i tried it that way once with my computer speakers and iPod dock and it was too hard to do. i've mainly just used a stereo mixdown to hear both at once, which is a great experience overall, but i'd love to one day hear a legit 5.1 or Atmos mix.

I never actually got Ixora to work, but you know what, I just got brand new speakers and my old speakers are sitting on the floor. I might actually finally do Ixora twin this week.

 

To clarify, she wasn’t shot by her husband. Another party nearby was responsible.

 

might fuck around and see if i can mix them down to 4 channel FLAC in Audacity to test over my surround sound setup. not sure if it'll work, but i might as well give it a shot.

 

I feel like people did that man when it came out, but technology has definitely improved since then
