Also The 100 wasn’t a 10 but it was an interesting and fun show but went downhill after season 3 and somehow got 8 seasons lol

 

it's a beautiful study of what happens to a writers room when there isn't anybody around to say no

Nothing has ever been as high as a ten and as low as a one. It is even harder for that to happen because very few shows start at their best.

 

The Office comes to mind as one of the biggest drops, though. People complain about shorter seasons and less overall seasons but the U.S. version of The Office proves definitively what overexposure and popularity can do.

The typical arch for TV is start at a 6, actor and writers gain chemistry and peak around season 3, auidences catch on and the network signs a massive deal, show declines as the premise is forced beyond its nautral life span, writers run out of ideas and characters become caricatures.

 

Warms my heart to see Lawrence is his best friend Sony back together.

This is actually a pretty informative interview. 20th Century head Steve Asbell gives update on the future of the studio's franchise slate to THR.

• Avatar, Alien, Apes, and Predator were their initial priorities post-merger. Now that they have those firmly set up within the Disney umbrella they can move forward with other franchises
• He doesn't think the recent death of producer Jon Landau will have an effect on the their production plans for Avatar.
• They have big plans for continuing the Agatha Christie adaptation franchise. At least 3 more Christie adaptations are on their slate.
• No plans for continuing the Kingsman franchise right now
• No current plans for a Free Guy sequel right now
• No current plans for Die Hard
• Alien: Romulus sequel is very likely going to happen
• He is pretty dead set on making the Master & Commander prequel film as that is one of the first movies he worked on in the industry. They have a script just trying to find the right director for it right now.
• He said there is a secret Predator movie that was already filmed besides the already confirmed Badlands and it isn't Prey 2. Both will directed by Trachtenberg
• When asked if we will ever get a new Alien Vs Predator he said "probably, but not in the way you think. It'll be happen more organically"
• They are very willing to do Speed 3, but only if Keanu and Bullock are on board with an idea. They won't do it without both of them or it won't work.
