I can't count how many times I missed out on seeing a movie in the theater just because I couldn't find anyone else who wanted to go with me. The first time I went by myself was a strangely liberating experience.

 

Going to movies alone is better 90% of the time.

 

My favorite thing to do is take a day off from work and see a movie solo on a weekday. It’s the best.

 

Too many people allow themselves to be held back from their interest because they think they need a social component. It isn't just movies, either; people skip all sorts of things because they can't find people to do it with them. The good thing about places like an Internet forum is that you can still share your experience while maintaining a separate social life with people who might not want to watch an art film.
