The Proposal is probably his signature, that Detective Pikachu and Definitely Maybe are good

Definitely, Maybe is his best movie and it's because of the three actresses

The film follows a man suffering from schizophrenia and trying to maintain secrecy about his hallucinations. While off his medications, the man kills and dismembers his love interest. Later, he hallucinates that the dead woman urges him to kill again in order to provide her with a companion.

Best Reynolds movie is obviously Blade Trinity

  11. I liked Paper Man but not exactly because Ryan was in it. Detective Pikachu and Free Guy were fun enough

lol, this was directed by Marjane Satrapi, the Iranian-born cartoonist behind the excellent autobio graphic novel Persepolis. What a wild career to go from that critically acclaimed comic… to a movie like that.

Adventureland is his best movie by far and only because he’s doing Not Ryan Reynolds in it for the most part

“Adventureland,” “Mississippi Grind,” “Definitely Maybe” are all very solid. He has some decent stuff in there, it’s just that he’s so damn lazy and frequently falls back into being Ryan Reynolds because it makes him way more money.

yeah i was thinking either this or, while a terrible movie, his performance in smokin aces is fine or whatever lol

It’s definitely Adventureland because he isn’t fully doing the Ryan Reynolds schtick and because it’s not a lead role.

i kinda feel like the “ryan reynolds schtick” began with deadpool? and now every movie of his is the same. the van wilder days were a different type of guy

it is kind of insane that someone whose career seemed dead for basically a decade is now the biggest actor alive probably

I’m sure Buried is good, but having not seen it at the time. Now, in 2024. Spending an hour and a half trapped in a wooden box with Ryan Reynolds sounds like hell.

Usually when they push someone to be the next big star and stumble they fade away but for some reason he kept getting roles and roles until people just gave up resisting.
