It definitely felt like a real event when it came out. That and the Jack Black Kong movie being nine hours long.

 

All three teasers - New Year’s, Museum and the Fishermen - kicked ass.

I remember seeing the jack black kong movie in theaters and my dad being so pissed at how long it was.

 

Thinking about it now, idk, I don’t think I’ve ever watched an entire King Kong movie? Whoops.

Definitely saw that ‘98 Godzilla as a kid and had tie-in merch, but I remember literally nothing about it. At this point, if I wanna watch a Godzilla movie not made in Japan, all I need is the Gareth Edwards one.

I saw Popstar: Never Stop Stopping for the first time last night. Can I understand why so many people think it's underrated gem. Got a few loud chuckles from me.

What are some of the best, or worst, movies you never would have heard of that someone recommended to you when you were very young?

My AP Literature used to make a lot of references to Repo Man and he was so happy when I told him I saw it. It was so funny and I always had suspicions that my teacher was a reformed aging punk, and this proved it.

However, my AP Psychology teacher almost insisted we all watch Crash because of how "important" it was. I really liked her but that made me rethink her conventional life lessons.
