“The Conversation” and “Enemy of the State” are so good. “Enemy of the State” has such a deep bench of actors in it.

It is why French cinema is always among the most important and vibrant in the world.

 

I’ve done all those things and I work from home.

 

Sadly, I don't think I'll see anything quite like this in the US on a national scale in my lifetime. Maybe a few state programs close to the CNC will pop up, but even that feels like a long shot.

28 Days Later suffers the same mistake as Sunshine creating an additional late antagonist when the premise itself was interesting enough.

 

Nah, 28 Days Later is fire.

Sunshine is visually wonderful, but meh in the end.

 

We have Screen Australia here, I wouldnt say we have a vibrant film culture but its doing well for childrens TV. Public funding a key part in fostering culture but we dont have the industry to maintain it, when an Australian film is successful the talent is immediately exported to Hollywood. French cinema has the advantage of having its own language it needs to create for.

I mean, I like the movie. I own it and watch it, but it does stumble some things with the way they do the villain and the build, but I would tell people to watch it. I just can't give the movie like rave reviews
