A lot of the almost casting for seven is wild but Ned Beatty or Michael Stipe in Spacey’s role is probably the craziest.

 

Travolta as Forrest Gump would have been a disaster

 

Russel Crowe as Aragorn in LOTR is up there. Also Johnny Depp as Ferris Bueller.

 

Vince Vaughn and Hank Azarea both were almost cast as Joey in Friends.

The role on Monica in Friends was specifically written for Janeane Garofalo.

The role of Han Solo in Star Wars was first offered to Al Pacino.

Al Pacino would have been fascinating because you would have had the amazing actor of the 70's and 80's and then in The Force Awakens you could have had screaming Pacino.

 

Hugh Jackman was first offered the role of Bond in Casino Royale, he said the script at the time not believable and he would only do it if they made Bond grittier, and then they passed on him and went with Daniel Craig.

Which is weird because I feel like Craig's Bond was a grittier and more realistic Bond.

Also Emily Blunt was pretty much cast as Black Widow in the MCU and had to back out because of scheduling conflicts. She would have been so much better than ScarJo.

 

Also at one point George Clooney was going to play Gosling's part in The Notebook.
