A fair portion of the posts in this conversation were actually pretty good tbh? lol, dunno what y’all would rather talk about.

 

I think I'm just thrown off by some people people being uncharacteristically antagonistic

 

I feel like this No One Will Save You movie came completely out of nowhere. I had never heard of it before two days ago and now it's everywhere.

 

It was a lot of fun! Not perfect or particularly scary, but fun.

 

If I have time this afternoon I might just check it out.

 

I didn’t love it. Felt like 30 minute idea stretched out to 90 minutes.

just watched there will be blood and gangs of New York for the first time today. blood was legit one of the best movies I’ve ever seen and gangs was way better than I was expecting based on what I’ve seen other people say about it. horrible ending tho hated every second of that last scene

 

aside from the very obvious fact that movies and music are not the same, their industries are not the same, and demos and scripts are not the same, the way demos work has changed tremendously due to advances in home recording and a whole lot of bands are able to pump out near album quality demos these days so your comparison works even less


that said the offending script page was not nearly as “out there” as I was led to believe based on house of leaves comparisons

 

The new Connor O’Malley short film is wild lol

 

There Will Be Blood is simply one of the best movies ever made.

 

It's my personal favorite movie

 

Yea it's my favorite movie of all time by a decent margin

Plus it's also what I'd show the aliens to warn them about our civilization

 

Is nothing sacred

 

they'll make it so that if you tank a movie they're advertising you get a mild electrical shock

 

Between Bandcamp (again) and now Letterboxd, my hopes for the last cool places on the internet aren't super high this week.

 

Letterboxd is one of the best sites in getting exactly what you want out of it while not inundating you with things you don't. In six months it won't be that anymore.

The only one I'm not worried about.

I hope that's not true... fingers crossed things stay the same on the users end and it continues being exactly as it currently is.
