Orson Welles was perfect in F for Fake

David Lynch as John Ford at the end of The Fablemans was also inspired casting

I was watching Mister Lonely while my father was staying with me and he walked in when Herzog is screaming maniacally at the nuns to throw the food out of the plane. He walked out when the nun falls out of the plane saying how weird of a movie it was.

For National Cinema Day, I saw Gran Turismo in one of those 4DX theaters where the seats move with the action onscreen and I gotta say that’s the perfect way to see it. Perfectly fine sports movie that’s coincidentally directed by Neil Blomkamp.

man I knew this movie was bad but that animation is horrific, especially when you have such a perfect point of comparison with Finding Nemo a year prior which still holds up

He’s my pick. I don’t even care about technicalities. I get so excited every time he pops up in something

damn. really wish I would have though to go see something in 4DX yesterday. I've been wanting to try that, but not about to drop $30 to see something like Gran Turismo (especially when I already have A-List)

  11. Apparently last year's was a disaster for theater workers because it was understaffed/overcrowded and people were being excessively messy/rowdy, haven't seen anything regarding this year tho

My local theater does four dollar Tuesdays and it just gets too busy for a weekday.

My local Cinemark’s Tuesday tickets come out to about $5.75. My Blue Beetle ticket yesterday was I think exactly $4.01, lol.

There was a row of, idk, teenagers give-or-take behind me that were pretty rowdy, but like… it was a four dollar Sunday evening showing for a middle-of-the-row superhero flick, at the end of summer in Western Pennsylvania. Where else are they gonna hang out, the dying mall down the street that closes at 5pm? I’m glad they had fun; hopefully they didn’t leave any unreasonable mess for the underpaid employees.

I thought VFX artists mostly worked at various VFX houses, which themselves were then hired for various projects. Is there a wrinkle I’m misunderstanding, for how the unions are being formed for Disney and Marvel Studios instead of, say, Weta?

After seeing the trailer 10,000 times, I had no interest in it. But I’m a sucker for a gimmick and the 4DX really is the way to see something as okay as this (and “Top Gun: Maverick). It was more than worth the $4.

I also saw “Talk To Me” for a second time because I wanted to see it with a packed theater. We had a few talkers and the place reeked of clove cigarettes and weed. Perfect situation for it. Crowd was very responsive. A great time.

I like them both but not a daily user of either. I like the immediate buzz of a strong drink, like how it wears off pretty quickly too if you don’t drink too much. I like the slow calmness and peace that thc usually gives me, but sometimes I go too far and that’s cause for anxiety. Addiction runs rampant in my family so I try to play light with all substances.

I hate the current copyright laws and no doubt she was pressured into an exclusive license but there are many different ways to license IP, she needs a better lawyer.
