Both are open to criticism, but they’re not the same.

 

I've wondered before if some of these people have just insanely overcorrected trying to fix legitimate problems. So concerned about what constitutes consent that they're afraid to flirt. So concerned about male gaze/objectification that any nudity on a screen is harmful. So concerned about being seen as a Nice Guy that they're not a nice guy. Etc.

Well, it was “xJesusFreakx,” ‘cause I guess putting x’s around a name was cool to me at the time. But, yes it was, lol. Named for an album & song by 90s Christian pop group dc Talk.

super random question but does anyone have any good recs for youtube channels focused on film critique and analysis? long form video essays are preferred (an hour plus length does not bother me at all) but also shorter reviews (10-20 minutes) are obviously fine too i just want high quality critical thought put into the videos. this is what helped to really expand my interest in video games and dive deeper beyond the surface level of the medium i was already familiar with and would be very interested in taking a similar route with movies
