That’s my point. It all seems so pre-planned in a way that makes me care about it as much as any other fake ass interview. I also think he seems super scripted, at least until I stopped watching. Maybe he got more comfortable.

 

I think he’s decent. He has to keep his composure while also eating the hot ass wings. Show is fun background noise while I work or whatever.

 

It makes me kinda sad how many people don't regularly eat spicy food on that show haha, but I like that it's always like the Kieran Paul Dano types who are like dude I am the hot sauce king

Editing could be part of it, sure but I don’t think it’s the main issue. The way he asks questions just feels very rehearsed, like he’s reading them from a note card. And I get that all interviews require prep and some rehearsal from the host, but there are a ton of people out there who manage to make it a little more feel natural and free flowing. I do still enjoy watching it every now and then though.

 

paul rudd’s performance was honestly insane

 

I don’t think it’s possible for his interviews to feel natural because the guests are way more focused on the food and he inherently limits himself to one question per wing

 

Yeah he clearly has very though out and researched questions so it’s more formal interview and less conversational at times.
