Just discovered Hot Ones and I really like the format. The guy asks great questions.

 

Oh man I've been watching it for years, Sean is such a good interviewer

The guy and his questioning is what turned me off tbh

 

How? Lol. He asks some of the best/obscure questions in the game

 

I’ve only watched a few of ‘em, none recently, but yeah, I didn’t think he was any good at interviewing. All the fun was from the guests reacting to the spiciness and situation, kinda in spite of the host tbh.

 

That’s fair and obviously your preference but there’s compilations of guests being incredibly surprised/excited by his questions

this is petty but his energy has changed entirely since he got his teeth fixed

 

I really enjoy Sean as well but I think he has definitely gotten “safer” over the last couple years. I’m not sure who you are comparing him to to think he’s actually bad at it though.
Most just read the same exact questions that reps give them.

 

Some of his questions feel designed to get the “that’s a good question” reaction tbh but he’s fine for what the show is.

 

The guests at least always seem to like him as a guy which makes them more engaged than 95% of their other interviews. Colin Ferrell asked for his phone number lol

 

dave grohl got him sloshed, he started crying at the end

the one with bernthal where he almost choked on the first wing is insane too

 

Just watched the gordon ramsey one and that guy cannot handle hot sauce lol
