They only had 9 directors. They didn't pick a lot of people.

 

It seems to be a mostly random pick of famous contemporary directors, I have no idea why they picked those 9 over any others

 

To drive engagement, obviously

 

They seem like a pick of well known contemporary directors. Even though Lucas hasn't actually made a film in decades he is still famous.

 

I don’t know at least half of these directors by their faces haha

 

Save Marty and Tarantino, bin the rest

 

if i'm interpreting "director" very literally then GDT and Lucas are really the only two options.
if i'm not...then I guess throw in Edgar Wright but it's still very easily Lucas.

 

This feels like a long time coming, considering how poorly streamers compensate writers compared to when they wrote for network shows.

 

Im like half serious, but writers should be below the line. So much of what they do is Madlibs
