I like Soho but yeah what? very broadly speaking they're all surreal horror I guess? People agreeing with the post in the comments say the movies are pretentious but

 

The claim that those are all pretentious is odd. I could see an argument for "The Menu", maybe.

I couldn’t, lol. It’s not-so-subtly a film poking fun at pretentiousness.

Whether or not it succeeded in its humor and/or satire is another topic. I for one thought it was a ton of fun, which was enough for me. But, if someone watched it and thought “what a pretentious film,” then they kinda missed the very obvious point?

 

The word pretentious in the arts is very rarely used correctly.

 

Yea, my comment was a stretch that I made with little thought, to be honest. And to clarify, I'm not saying it's a reading of the movie I agree with either. I generally agree with what you said. I guess if you're offended by s'mores slander you might think it's pretentious.
