I haven’t read this creator-owned noir comic series yet, but I’ve heard very good things about it from comics people I respect. Happy for the creators that it’s being adapted.

  8. My movie watching has been all over the place recently lol, but I'm making a concerted effort to watch older movies I've never seen.

Long Halloween is great, I miss Naya. Catwoman: Hunted (Steph as Kate!) and We're All Going to the World's Fair are also great

Renee Falconetti's performance in The Passion of Joan of Arc is one of the best acting performances in the history of film. Filmmakers were really starting to tap into the potential of silent cinema right when sound came around.

  11. I was so blown away by her performance after finishing it that I became temporarily obsessed and read the entire Wikipedia page about the movie. It truly is great. The history of the production and how the original version of the movie almost got lost to time is fascinating.

I finally saw In The Mood For Love a couple weeks back and it was incredible. Glad I waited to see it in a theater too. Those colors were poppin.

You can feel the warmth coming out of the screen in In the Mood for Love.

He is fundamentally overestimating people. More people are going to be mean if they think famous people will read it.

  20. Ended up seeing Operation Fortune instead, it was fun, pretty typical Guy Ritchie flick, solid ensemble with lots of charismatic actors, just kinda wish Aubrey had more to do

Watched Creed and Creed 2 for the first time so I can go see the third one, haven't seen any Rocky. Ryan Coogler, Michael B Jordan, and Ludwig Goransson are a great combo on Black Panther, add Tessa Thompson and Sylvester Stallone into the mix and it's just magic. I find it so funny that Viktor Drago and Razor Fist from Shang Chi are played the same dude haha, yet another connection the franchise has to the MCU
