I double check wiki and make edits as I post. Two decades of posting on forums and fear of getting roasted for making mistakes have made me extra meticulous lol.

I pretty much make a simple post that gets me into an internet rabbithole and I edit adding more and more details the deeper I go lol.

 

I both hate & love that RLM spotlighting the absurdity of VHS grading, taking a running joke to its logical conclusion, and raising $80,000 for charity led to discourse over media preservation.

Twitter is home to some truly beautiful minds; I hope Musky never fully takes that away from us.

Just rewatched Mulholland Drive and realized I’ve been living four buildings down from the apartment Betty and Rita stay at lol, only took me two years of living here to figure that out

 

How often do you go into a film with either knowing nothing about it or very little?

There are some movies that people say to “go in blind” (Malignant and Barbarian are recentish examples) because of the twists. And sometimes trailers give too much away, so I avoid them. Buuuuuut, I also want to know what I’m getting into. Like, if half the people that walk out of Skinamarink are told it’s an experimental horror movie, that’d at least change their expectations or deter them from seeing it, which is fine if it’s not for them. Idk…I can see both sides.

 

I don’t like knowing too much at all going in. Maybe a trailer and a couple spoiler free reviews is the most I want.

 

I need to know the vibe before I can know if I can fuck with it

 

I usually don't know anything about the movie I am watching. Other than the big directors whose films are talked about for months through festivals and other things, I usually have no idea what it is about.

 

I wish I went into The Menu blind because I feel like the trailer undersold how stupid and shallow it was going to be. I think if I went in with the expectation that it was a dumb comedy I would have enjoyed it much more.

 

I'll interject when two people are talking and they are wrong about an actor or title or release date.
