Just finished watching As They Made Us. Just incredible all around. Honest look at a fractured family and the complications that come up when one of those family members are on the verge of death. Dianna Agron, Simon Helberg, Candice Bergen, and Dustin Hoffman are all fantastic

 

I’m in a predicament. I currently have the Cinemark movie club membership or whatever it’s called and enjoy it but the problem is I just moved and the Cinemark I go to is almost 20 minutes away now. There is an AMC 2 minutes and 5 minutes from me and I know the AMC membership is good but neither theater has reserved seats so I’m inclined to keep the Cinemark membership.

AMC's program is way better than the Cinemark program, generally speaking. You get 3 movies A WEEK as opposed to only 1 a month. Very surprised they don't have reserved seats, but I'd say jump ship to A-List and see how it works out.

 

they’re both smaller theaters. One only has 4 screens and the other only has 8. I’m surprised the one with 8 hasn’t been updated though.

 

I guess if you're dealing with so few screens, it might not be advantageous that you get 3 movies a week if there's not that much to really watch. I forget how lucky I am to live in a big city with multiple multiplexes all around me.

 

it’s weird because the area I moved to has literally everything, every store, restaurant etc but those are the only 2 theaters. The next closest is my old Cinemark.

 

No idea what I just watched but it looks fun. Sort of.

On the latest Chapo Matt Christman brings up the idea that Forrest Gump is a scammer and his entire backstory he's telling to people on the bench is fabricated lies. Now I kind of want to rewatch that movie with that perspective.
