The joke is that the elf had just said she’s thousands of years old and Tim Allen’s character, not thinking any of it is real, sarcastically says that line because he thinks she’s really just a child. The elf character, actually being thousands of years old, doesn’t pick up on his sarcastic disbelief.

Incendies is his worst film, but Sicario was close. Dune was good and so was most of Arrival.

 

Still need to see Dune AND 2049

 

I watched Sicario earlier this year and it wasn't really for me, but I get the appeal

 

Prisoners is still my go-to Villeneuve.

Watched Arrival around the time it came out and didn’t like it, but I’m probably wrong and need to rewatch it

Bought 2049 on iTunes awhile back and haven’t gotten around to that either

 

Oh I don’t know just another million movies on the list that I need to get to as well

 

Loved Sicario and BR2049. Was lukewarm on Arrival and Dune.

Peeped The Muppet Christmas Carol last night for the first time in years. It really has no business being as good as it is.

 

I always forget about Arrival, which is a bummer ‘cause I actually REALLY loved that one at the time.

2049 and Dune 1 were also really cool. Hope he keeps making big, epic genre flicks.

 

Hmm I don’t like this. Where do they draw the line? Cuz sometimes (probably almost always) the movie trailer is cut before the final movie cut is done. And often a trailer has clips of scenes that don’t actually make it into the final movie. Would that be “false advertising”?
EDIT: maybe that’s the same scenario that article mentioned actually haha. I just re-read the headline (haven’t read the article yet)

 

My local theater was playing a trailer for Bullet Train that was pretty much entirely Bad Bunny. He’s in the movie for like 5 minutes lol
