I had no idea but it seems like recent movies being converted to VHS is a pretty decent bootleg market. Are there any quality based reasons for going to VHS over a DVD or is it just a nostalgia thing?

 

I think cassettes and vhs tapes are just because they're pretty because why else would you pick a format you have to rewind haha

 

When you think of the decades of classic animated films, how many of them were famous actors (other than Robin Williams)?

 

Robin Williams was the first big one, then Lion King had several. But I think it was really Pixar that made it a complete trend. They’ve never had a movie that wasn’t full of big name actors who aren’t normally voice actors

 

yeah it's been much more prevalent. this was a big talking point during the terrible marvel animated show for disney+, with how awful the voice acting of the people carried over from the movies were compared to the roles that transitioned to voice actors

 

it's always been sporadic, Bob Newhart in The Rescuers, Oliver and Company, We're Back etc but I don't think there's been a single recent animated movie from a major studio that just relied on professional voice actors

excluding Simpsons, Futurama,and Bob's Burgers

 

It's big overseas cause access is much easier. Here though? Absolutely no idea.
