I know this is probably a hot take but the leftovers is fine, don’t get the insane praise.

 

the first season sucks, the second is good and the third is incredible

 

I wouldn't say the first sucks but it's definitely not as good as season two, which I need to finish lol

 

Carrie Coon is so good in The Leftovers, but then she's hardly recognizable in the MCU and hardly has any lines

 

She’s easily the best part of the show.

 

Going to the movies alone is therapeutic

 

Plus it means I get all of the popcorn I paid $10 for

 

Going alone to movies is the best.

 

I like taking friends to like MCU movies, but usually prefer to go it alone for anything else. Also my friends aren't as into horror stuff as I am

No way it’s the value it was before but would still probably drop AMC’s service for it easily

 

I'm good with AMC it's too convenient where I am

 

Amc is so stress free, with movie pass it was like can I have $15 man I don't know can you

 

I was so unsure about using movie pass, the only thing I ever watched was Pacific Rim 2 which was very very bad

I used moviepass once but it was for Sorry to Bother You at a 10am showing on a country club so it was like I paid for two shows

 

I will never go to the movies regularly enough to warrant a subscription. Maybe in November-February when the major American films come out, but even then a lot of them are going to streaming now.

 

At this point, is the MoviePass name recognition more of a good thing or bad thing? Will the media coverage due to its infamy and the nostalgia for its obviously unsustainable peak outweigh its reputation by the end?

I would get the AMC pass but the theaters I prefer to go to most often are a local place and a Landmark theater. Idk if the moviepass model will ever be successful but even something equivalent to like 2-3 movies/month for half the price would be big imo

 

My local regal is ridiculously cheap, I’d have to see 5 movies a month for the pass to be worth it
