The one positive thing you could say about blockbusters, despite lousy scripts and wooden acting, was impressive visual effects and they don't even bother to do that anymore.

Top Gun and Mission Impossible are blockbusters that look great. And say what you want about the Star Wars sequels story, but they all looked pretty damn good
