So, if they abandon it as a tax write-down, can they still put the footage in a vault and use it years from now? I really can’t imagine a studio never doing anything with a near-finished movie where Michael Keaton plays Batman, even if it takes until his first movie’s 50th anniversary in 17 yrs (or his hopefully equally far off passing).

Pretty wild that they upset creatives by going back on deals and releasing films on HBO Max the same day as theaters, and then backtracked… abandoning a near-finished film with big stars in the process. I bet that doesn’t get them points with creatives either!

 

Wasn't this literally the plot of a Grand Theft Auto V mission?

 

I can't recall the GTA V mission, but it does sound very similar to the plot of The Producers.

aw man I’m not a big theater goer or cinephile so my list sucks. It’s just Jurassic park and Panic Room haha. Every other movie I saw from any of the others has been at home

 

Actually it’s entirely possible I was taken to see Hook in theaters. I know I saw TMNJ or TMNJ 2 in theaters, and I remember seeing JP….so maybe I saw Hook in between

 

Marshawn Lynch is great. Thought he was incredible in murderville.
