I'm usually good at knowing what movies I'll like before I go to the theaters to see them so I've never walked out of a movie or absolutely hated much that I can think of besides the last Star Wars. I also found it really hard to sit through Ready Player One

I can't think of a show I have watched recently that had such an insane drop in quality as Pose: Season 3 did. Just honestly astounding how bad the final season was. Season 1 is a truly amazing season of TV, but Season 3 is embarrassingly bad.

also the best way to see a movie even better if I can get the entire room to myself like I did for the Northman

How did they convince people that sitting in a dark room quietly watching a screen was a social experience anyway?

I was getting tickets for Jurassic World for me and a friend the other day and seeing the cost of his ticket made me really really thankful for AMC A-List. $18.50 for a Dolby showing on a Saturday night.

Just no way I could ever pay that. Wait for the cheap theater.

I try to go to early showings on a weekend, 10:00-11:00 start time. Normal screen ticket is $8, Dolby Atmos is $10 and change. It's great.

Also re: going to movies by myself, I almost always do. Only time I go in groups is when I go with friends to an opening night showing of like a big blockbuster like an MCU movie or Mission Impossible or something.

Going to the movies solo is great because you don't have to worry you're dragging someone to something they'll hate

I knew there was one movie that my fiance was really really annoyed that we went to see, but I couldn't remember what it was. I asked her and she said "IT WAS MALIGNANT"

I live 5 minutes away from an AMC and I so desperately wish they'd show movies at 10 AM on the weekends. Usually 11:30-12 is the earliest.

The only time I go with someone to a movie is when I take my mother to see something she wants to see since my father has not gone to the theater since Home Alone 2.

I think as long as the showing starts before 12 they have the reduced prices though, don't they? So like an 11:30 showing should still be significantly less.

But yeah I also like going to an early movie because there's usually way less people in the theater with me (even before covid) and because when I get out I feel like I still have my whole day ahead of me. So I definitely get how annoying that must be that they don't offer any that start pre-11:00.

Reduced prices for sure but I've got AMC A-List so that doesn't make a difference for me. My fiance likes to sleep in as late as possible on the weekends so if I was able to go see something she's not interested in at 10 AM and be back before 1 that would be ideal for me
