    Wonder Woman Is Propaganda

The talk about this movie has been endlessly bizarre, as it seems like the most effective in a long-running attempt to weaponize feminism in order to push the same sort of commercial nonsense that people may otherwise be backing away from. It is just another in a long line of soulless cash grabs, but this time it is a woman director and star (even though the real profits go to the men at the top of most studios and shareholders).

  3. Gotham season finale was nuts. Everything is so over the top (including the acting in some cases) but they embrace it so fully that it actually works. I don't know if I'd call this quality television, but it is most certainly entertaining. The Batman mythos is just so rich with interesting characters, and it helps that the actor for young Bruce Wayne has really grown into his role. The way all these not-yet-funny-realized villains play off of young Bruce, Gordon, and each other is so fascinating. It kind of reminds me of Smallville (which I never really got that far into) except it doesn't take itself nearly as seriously.

It is certainly tough to do a list like that. That is less than two films per year. They really should have gone to 50 or 100.

I might try a list. I have a top 100 for 2000-2009 and the 2010's but nothing combined.

It's definitely hard. Tree of Life is a notable admission but there's a lot that I think is good but not worthy of being on the list. Million Dollar Baby is confusing. 40 Year Old Virgin I disagree with but I can at least see where their argument comes from. Million Dollar Baby isn't even top three Eastwood.

Top 1000? Good lord. I don't have a top 1000 total. Is this a document?

My mistake, I should have said 100. Here are the lists if anyone is interested.

Top Hundred Films of the 2000's (Decade).
Top Hundred Films of the 2010's.

I've never heard of Wreckmeister Harmonies which has me intrigued.
The only one that straight up baffles me is A Very Murray Christmas. Miami Vice I thought was a little high but I haven't seen it in years so my opinion may have changed.

I've heard of most of these, I have a decent amount of it, have not seen many though.

I remember A.O. Scott speaking very highly of Werckmeister Harmonies, so I thought it would be up there. I want to say it made his top 10 of the 2000-2009 decade.

I went to add it to my list and found it was already on there so evidently I have heard of it at some point. Either way, thanks. My list has gone from very long to very long.

that list wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. It looked like they tried to represent a few different genres: action, comedy, family etc.

No Malick and the inclusion of Million Dollar Baby does confuse me.

So you have seen it? What about the other two? The Immigrant would be second, but Certain Women is still impressive.
