I was on YouTube rewatching clips of Agents of Shield and Supergirl that had "make _____ great again," "alternative facts," and "nevertheless, she persisted" and obviously there were people in the comments going "he's president get over it and respect him" and "wah anti-trump propaganda wah why does politics have to be in everything."

Did anyone see King Arthur? It's been getting terrible reviews but I'm still going to catch a matinee on Saturday because, well, it's a Guy Ritchie King Arthur movie. The reddit discussion thread loved it.

Adam Sandler — yes, Adam Sandler — is getting actual Oscar buzz at Cannes

 

Exciting, but not surprising. He's still young, and I've always been sure he'll be in a few more great movies yet. He's not the type of actor that can transform into another person, but he can use his goofy angst to bolster some genuine emotion if given the right material. Paul Thomas Anderson knew that, and Noah Baumbach is another guy that I trust to utilize Sandler well. Really looking forward to this

 

i remember when i used to actually get excited about the summer movie season but these days yeesh. tonight is a night me and my gf wanna go to the movies, we'd see almost anything....but there's NOTHING i even remotely care about
