Have to agree, with Good Night and Good Luck and maybe The Ides of March (haven't seen it in a long time but remember liking it) as the exceptions.

I would imagine that it would be very uncomfortable to watch a movie that your partner starred in while your partner is there. Then again, these people have humongous egos so who knows.

 

Definitely need to do a Miami Vice rewatch

 

I hated Miami Vice when it came out. I wanted it to be Bad Boys 2

Miami Vice is a stone cold classic. Blackhat is great. Public Enemies is very good at worst. Y'all are buggin

Honestly was mostly bored by Public Enemies. Never seen Miami Vice.

 

I remember public enemies being boring but it also may have been mismarketed like Miami Vice, wouldn't rewatch because of who plays Dillinger anyway

 

public enemies and the keep are the only ones i don't care for but i'm willing to revisit both of em with brand new eyes

I've never seen Miami Vice but I've been seeing Tetra and Pat praise it on this site for years. Guess I should give it a watch.

If you're going to watch Miami Vice for the first time, it is not going to hit you as a classic like a Citizen Kane or The Godfather. It comes from its use of colors, the mood, the rare film to show intimacy, and the music choices. It must have been a very frustrating film for mega fans of the show, but people should have known that Michael Mann was in a very different place at that point.

 

I’ve never personally actively cared about Hellraiser, but Jamie Clayton being in this rules.

 

I’m sure the replies to this are totally regular and normal.
