Apparently one of the author's main bits is picking a universally beloved movie and telling us how it "holds up". He has almost 3000 articles in less than three years at the site.

You can't really blame him entirely because this is the state of film writing. You have to pump out listicles constantly to even make enough money to buy groceries.
