Just watched the first 4 episodes of Rick and Morty. I'm not laughing my ass off but it's consistently ridiculous and entertaining. The people I know who watch this show are so passionate about it so I'm curious to see how long it will take me to get there, if I do at all.

This scene made me laugh my ass off.

The way the robot looks at his hands and says "...oh my god' is brilliant.

Rick and Morty is much better than that Bojack nonsense you had me watch

What are the best seasons? Or is it like P&R where it just gets better each year?

That's like driving all the way to the restaurant, sitting down, and then not ordering food. You must keep going!

Didn't you stop BoJack halfway through the first season? I know it is going to sound like an excuse, but it becomes a completely different show about midway through the first season. If you look at reviews for the first season (based on the first few episodes) compared to the second, there is a large shift.

Eventually, there are much better shows that keep my interest from the first episode or so that I am also watching. I've put 4.5 hrs into the show and it has yet to move me beyond a smirk.

I do like the 3 boys on top of each other in a trench coat, though

This debate basically comes up every single time someone starts Bojack. It's almost universally accepted that the show doesn't become good until the end of the 1st season, and then it becomes truly great in Season 2 and 3. I won't push you either way as devoting 4.5 hours to a show you don't like is already rough, but I personally was glad to stick with it and make it to Season 2, where it immediately became one of my favorites.

The conclusions of every season so far rival the dramatic heights of all the other major television shows that everyone loves. It is a truly special show.

  19. hahaha, I put Bojack on hold, not because I was underwhelmed, but because one episode in particular got way too real for me personally. I feel like I need to be in a better place mentally/emotionally to be able to watch that show.

The West Wing is so clumsy at trying to explain things to the audience. How did the Press Secretary not know that she had a Secret Service codename after more than a year of the administration? That is pretty common knowledge. Cedric Daniels shows up before he made lieutenant in Baltimore and somehow does not even notice a military tattoo on the arm of the dead body he is investigating.

This seems like a show you have to be a centrist Democrat to enjoy.

You should check out Edge of Tomorrow if anything, its a mix of groundhogs day and star ship troopers I guess is the best way to explain it. It does a mix of action, drama and comedy really well and feels fresh. Is pretty underrated and didn't do too well at the box-office, I feel like everyone slept on this movie.

I never saw Room. The subject matter seemed too depressing, but the wife is finishing the book and wants to see it so I guess I'll be watching it soon.
