What did everyone think of Letterman?

 

Letterman was at least better than Leno

 

legendary comedic genius who revolutionized television, and also a misogynistic asshole

 

their whole camaraderie

those interesting longer form convo episodes like desmond tutu or stephen fry

really cool, underappreciated show. especially those last chunk of years where he really didn’t seem to give a fuck what a show like that is supposed to be

 

Letterman will probably always be the best of all. As big as Johnny Carson was Letterman is the bigger influence on everything that came after.

 

Ferguson is on a whole different level tbh. Him eulogizing his parents is pretty perfect.

 

Conan will always be my favorite of all time but Craig Ferguson is also one of the most naturally funny people that's maybe ever been on TV. There was a magical quality to watching his show fall apart every single night in the best way possible. I saw him do standup twice in a 6 month period and he did two entirely different 90 minute sets without repeating a single joke

Who is watching all these shows? There seems to be so many. Network shows get canceled when they have audiences over a million but there can't be huge audiences for all these things.
