The making of the final season of Breaking Bad is above The Godfather. Harry Styles “Behind the Album” is 30

Letterboxd definitely has some weird trends. I think it will balance out as time goes on because there is a tremendous bias toward films that were recent when the site became big.

What makes them a “green flag” movie, where if someone likes them, you assume they’re a person worthy of trusting?

If you watch movies with very clear moral compasses that condemn bad guys explicitly, you can be trusted.

People are going to get mad at this, but someone's favorite movie or book usually tells you at least something about them. Music is too genre and era specific to have the same result.

It’s fun that we’ve gotten to the time when people are missing the point of Fight Club from the other side too.

  23. I've been wanting to watch The Black Cauldron again. It's been at least 250 years since I've seen it, but I remember really enjoying it. Is it a jam, or am I misremembering?

With something like Fight Club, there is the message that the movie intends to push but also how well the movie is at conveying that message. That is where it misses the mark.

An interesting and informative thread of just how bad Blockbuster was for film. People my age have nostalgia for it because it was where we got our movies from, but their policies had tremendous censorship effects.
