From what I'm reading, it sounds like Eon still holds a lot of control re:Bond, and they will obviously fight tooth and nail to maintain a theatrical release with a healthy window, I would imagine. Not worried...yet.

Who is to blame for that language taking over? Where does it come from? It’s not just in Hollywood either, these stupid fucking buzzwords have taken over education as well

“intellectual property” has been a practice of law since, like, the 1800s, so i guess post-colonial lawyers. if only they knew

Why can't they enjoy superhero movies for the mindless entertainment that they are? There is nothing wrong with seeing movies that are the equivalent of empty calories, but the need to try and elevate it to some sort of masterpiece just makes it look like you are not able to seriously engage with art.

Regarding the intellectual property issue, it is because you have people who have nothing to do with the creative side of production making these statements. For them, the movies they own now are products that can be milked through sequels or ancillary merchandise. Sooner or later they will have an algorithm to greenlight movies.

Video gamers use the term "intellectual property" a lot, and it never stops being weird.

That is such an odd coincidence because I follow him and I am pretty sure I came up with the idea independently without reading him.

    It is an underrated show.

Arguably one of the very greatest filmmakers to emerge recently and it is a non-entity.

People got mad at Scorsese about two months ago for talking about the importance of films being curated for people to cut through the noise. He was right again.

Why does Amazon pay for this kind of stuff just to waste it? The same goes form overpaying for MGM.

Amazon and HBO have the most money yet somehow put the least effort into their streaming services when both should by far the best.
