Most important thing, IMO, would be matching the original animation style as closely as possible

Which era? I just finished the whole series about a week ago and it gets a little too polished in the later seasons.

i suppose the first 5-10 years or so. That’s the “era” from where I’ve seen the most episodes

Which World War I movie should I show the kids? My heart would go with Paths of Glory, but I imagine they will like 1917 more but War Horse probably has a worksheet I can download.

I'm trying to remember the WW1 movie they showed us in high school. It had Daniel Craig in it I think.

Picking movies for class is a very delicate balance. I remember having to sit through so many stuffy old black-and-white movies as a student and everyone was asleep or staring at the wall. As I got older I realized how good some of them were, but they had no place in a classroom full of sugar-addled kids.

So far this year they had mixed feelings on Hamilton, loved Almost Famous, liked Harriett, somewhat liked The Best of Enemies, and pretended to dislike Newsies. The worst response I ever got to a movie was Dr. Strangelove, but it was the most fun two days at work I had.

Came out too late, plus that's WW2, this would have been 06-07. Just went down Craig's wiki page and it was The Trench.

I wish it had been Defiance. The Trench was pretty bad from what I remember.

When I think of movies they showed in school, for some reason my top memories are October Sky and Simon Birch.
