We were watching Newsies in class today and, while the film has the least believable New York set I have ever seen, I appreciate musicals more and more.

It’s gonna be hilarious watching fanboys everywhere go from claiming Scorsese is overrated and washed up to putting out headlines like that which essentially seek his approval.

 

The reason they are still going on about his comments is because of how desperately they seek approval from what they consider to be "the elite". It is an interesting situation; they are invested in watching these movies and shows that are not "artsy" or "boring" the way they think other films are, but they also want the accolades and respect that comes to those works.

Do people really watch movies on their phones? I hear people reference it but I have never done it myself.

 

I've done it a few times, I think, though I can't remember what movies. Hubie Halloween might've been one of 'em, lol.

I have watched movies on my phone, but usually some bullshit movie that I don't really care about. I usually go for YT or a TV show if I have to watch on my phone (and even then, something like a reality show or whatever)

 

When I was in high school, I would download movies on my iPod mini to watch during study hall. Though it was always movies if seen before.

 

I would never watch a movie on my phone, I'll just be on imdb on my phone throughout the entire movie

Yeah, pods or music and sleep. I did watch Game Night and Sideways on the way to Italy

 

yeah the only time i watch something is when i’ve flown international, or one year when i flew during march madness
