  1. Gotta pick a more narrow major if you go into "business". Accounting, finance, marketing, HR, etc. I don't know what job you could do out of college with a business management degree.

yeah it’s a completely useless degree. I didn’t graduate so it doesn’t matter but I wish I narrowed it down to finance.

The TCM debacle actually allowed us to create a new rule regarding what we can show. As long as it’s curriculum based, we can. I show Stand By Me in my regular english class

I chose marketing as my focus. There were definitely parts that were interesting.

In my 9th grade English class the teacher show us O Brother, Where Art Thou? because it was based on the Odyssey. We would often start over or go back to where the song was because the teacher liked it. It took about a month to conclude :crylaugh:

One of the perks of being a history teacher is being able to show a lot of movies. So far this year I have had to suffer through Hamilton and Harriett, but I snuck in Almost Heroes with the Lewis and Clark expeditions. Saving Private Ryan used to be one of the my favorite weeks of the year, but I don't know if I will do it after getting caught.

I used to do Marie Antoinette and Dr. Strangelove but kids hated it. Strangely enough, they can get through The Grapes of Wrath and Paths of Glory.

Almost Heroes is underrated, but I am a sucker for Chris Farley.

Our freshman English teacher spent most of her time shopping for pants online so she put on a lot of movies. We watched the first forty minutes of the modern Romeo and Juliet but then someone told on her and we never got to finish it.

Our elementary school music teacher must have shown Grease twenty times from kindergarten through sixth grade. I live near the space center so we had to watch October Sky at least twice a year.

After state testing they put one of the Lord of the Rings movies on but our teacher didn't believe us so we missed at least an hour of it. We started when 006 gets killed.

Weird. We are the same age and I was never shown Shrek. It was always on at my pediatrician's office, so I saw increments of it. I have never watched it in full.

I didn't wear sandals then. I only wore Chuck Taylor high-tops. You really couldn't wear sandals at shows.

I took a Current Affairs elective in high school where each week we’d talk about a current event and then we’d watch a movie that somehow tied into it. I remember specifically seeing Shallow Hal, Arlington Road, Charlie Wilson’s War, and Life is Beautiful

The redneck kids always want to watch Talladega Nights. I have introduced a lot of the kids to High School High and Malibu's Most Wanted.
