Thought I had quoted someone. I was referring to Rectify. I have about half a season of Friday Night Lights left.

All my weird kids have already seen Dr. Strangelove. I never would have watched this at their age.

    If only.

Overall disappointed in their response to the movie. It is my fault for having high expectations, though, when people twice my age would have a hard time appreciating it.

I'm seeing it soon. Oscilloscope put out the Alchemist Cookbook and the Love Witch, so I'm excited.

In Friday Night Lights, Becky, who is a junior in high school and 17 years old, is a cocktail waitress at a strip club. This show always finds a way to stretch reality more and more.

You know when you and your friends are driving arouns and you pass all these cool looking restaurants and you're like, "Wow, we have to go there some time, I want to try that pineapple pizza so bad!" but then when you're actually planning on eating out days later you can't think of anywhere to go? That's been me with movies lately. I'm in a rut. This year, I started keeping a list of every movie I watch, but it's probably more important to keep a list of every movie I want to watch

Letterboxd is a blessing for that. I also have spreadsheets to track specific projects I'm working through, so I can keep track of sources (library, my personal collection, Netflix, torrent.)

The Simpsons episode where they go to New York was one of the most influential things for me as a young child. It informed my idea of the city until I finally visited, and it was mostly correct.

I lost interest about 1/2 through this season.

    No way it should've gotten a S2

  18. It lost the playfulness it had in its flashbacks in season 1. I didn't think I'd miss that part of the show.
