The more I think about shithouse the more I love it. It might be my favorite movie of 2020.

 

it was my #2. cooper is gonna be one to watch. so much heart in his performance and direction.

 

On the real though, if every reg entertainment poster came up with their own “canon” that’d be cool. I’m more interested in the lists than the final tally. Gonna try to fill blindspots in 2021

 

Is the "canon" like a top ten list? We had one of those threads in the old forum.

I’d prefer it to be more of a “list as many films that you deem essential as possible” list. Again, I’m paying more attention to individual posters (maybe you if you change your footwear) than an aggregate

that way, order and context could matter more than rating. I’d like a “start here, then here” over 1-10

 

I am watching “Out of the Blue” (1980). This is pretty incredible so far

What did people think of Vanilla Sky? Just watched it - convoluted in places but I think I really liked it. Great soundtrack.

 

It's a pretty fun movie, I used to LOVE it when I was a teenager but now I more of "really enjoy it."

 

Haven’t watched it for maybe 8 years but I remember liking it

 

Margaret was so good. People need to start recognizing Kenneth Lonergan as one of the very best directors around.
